Turnabout

Turnabout, published in 1931, is Thorne Smith's body-swap comedy. When an Egyptian idol grants the wish of Tim and Sally Dorvington — each convinced the other has an easier life — they wake to find themselves inhabiting each other's bodies. Tim must navigate Sally's social world while Sally tackles Tim's advertising office, and both discover that neither role is as simple as it looked from the outside.
